The endurance of our motors is tested in the most arduous climate conditions. Before it is installed in your home, each Somfy motor is factory inspected to bring you guaranteed long-term reliability. The motors, like all Somfy equipment, are naturally compliant with safety standards.

 Your peace-of-mind guarantee

Somfy offers its professional clients (installers, manufacturers, etc.) a *5-year guarantee on its motors and automatic systems starting from their date of manufacture.

Somfy motors are compliant with European and French safety standards. Motors for roller shutters and indoor and outdoor blinds are in line with the NF electricity standard issued by the AFNOR. Motors for gates and garage doors are in line standards EN 60335-2-95, standards EN 60335-2-103, EN 13 241 and NF P 25-362.

Somfy works with numerous other manufacturers to bring you quality powered roller shutters, roller blinds, venetian blinds, exterior screens, gates, garage doors and curtains. The outcome is the fruit of shared know-how and expertise, bringing you efficiency and reliability. The 'Powered by Somfy' label means you can be sure you're getting equipment powered by a Somfy motor.

In our research centres, Somfy employs over 400 engineers and technicians and holds over 280 patents. For example, the Auto-Manu function which allows the users to take back control over the automatic functions, or the Snapshot function, which makes it easy to create scenarios. There are also one or two 'strokes of genuis', like the 'Home' key which locks all accesses to the house with a single click, or the 'my' key to go immediately to the favorite position for a piece of equipment.
